Description
Uncompromising Subsonic Speed. Modular Groundwork. Physical Bass Authority.
The RBH Reference 1212N-MS/R is a high-output, passive (non-powered) dual 12-inch subwoofer module engineered for the absolute purist. Acting as the subterranean structural foundation of the legendary modular SFTR tower system, this heavyweight, sealed low-frequency module is designed to sit directly beneath your top-channel monitors or stand alone as a dedicated LFE (Low Frequency Effects) powerhouse in elite home theaters and reference listening rooms.
By utilizing a high-efficiency passive design, the 1212N-MS/R isolates all AC power draw, electrical heat, and high-frequency switching noise away from the physical cabinet. Pair it with an external rack-mount amplifier to experience highly articulate, lightning-fast bass transients that plunge deep into single-digit, room-shaking frequencies with zero overhang or bloat.
Key Product Highlights
-
Reference Dual 12-Inch Aluminum Drivers: Armed with dual front-firing, proprietary 12-inch high-displacement reference aluminum cone subwoofers. These premium drivers are mounted in rigid, cast-metal frames with high-excursion NBR surrounds. Their incredible stiffness-to-mass ratio ensures perfect piston-like movement, stopping and starting on a dime.
-
Acoustically Dead, Sealed HDF Cabinetry: Designed for absolute musical precision. The sealed enclosure is handcrafted in the USA using thick, heavily braced ¾-inch High-Density Fiberboard (HDF). This dense, airtight chamber eliminates port-chuffing and structural cabinet resonances, achieving a highly musical system Q of ~0.707.
-
Modular Architecture: The 1212N-MS/R features structural steel coupling plate points on its top surface. It is perfectly sized to receive the 821-SF/R or 61-SF/R monitor modules, locking them together physically and acoustically to form a seamless, cohesive full-range tower.
-
External Power Flexibility: As a passive “N” (Non-powered) cabinet, you have full control over your amplification chain. When paired with a dedicated DSP amplifier (such as the RBH DA-1802DSP or DA-2602DSP), the system leverages professional-grade digital contouring to flatten, protect, and maximize low-end room output.
