Positioned as an accessible hi-fi CD player, the CD 70 replaces the classic CD6007 while incorporating updated industrial styling. It features an upgraded high-performance DAC, low-noise power supply architecture, and custom HDAM-SA2 discrete modules tuned for acoustic warmth and resolution. Beyond physical disc playback, it includes a front USB-A port for playing high-resolution FLAC, ALAC, WAV, and DSD files directly from flash drives. It comes equipped with a dedicated HDAM-SA2 headphone amplifier with selectable gain, gold-plated analog RCA outputs, and digital optical/coaxial outputs.
