Description
Uncompromising Low-End Control. External DSP Authority. The Purist’s Flagship.
The RBH SFTR with an external subwoofer amplification package is a monumental 3-way modular tower system built for the purist. Acting as the highly focused, space-conscious sibling to RBH’s massive SVTR flagship, this configuration divides its acoustic workload into a high-performance passive top monitor and an ultra-powerful, externally driven sealed low-frequency pedestal.
By choosing the External Subwoofer Amp configuration, you isolate all heavy AC power draw, electrical heat, and high-frequency switching noise away from the physical speaker cabinets. Instead, you get a dedicated, rack-mountable RBH DA-2602DSP 2-channel reference amplifier pushing a staggering 2,600 watts per channel (at 4 Ohms) directly to the passive subwoofer modules. This setup provides ultimate, uncompressed headroom and advanced DSP management, keeping the speaker cabinets purely acoustic.
Key Product Highlights
-
Dedicated RBH DA-2602DSP External Amplifier: The system includes a powerful, high-efficiency Class D rack-mount amplifier. Operating externally, this 2-channel powerhouse outputs a monumental 2,600W RMS per channel @ 4Ω—driving the dual 12-inch subwoofers in each tower with total grip and relentless speed.
-
Dual 12-Inch Sealed Subwoofers: The base pedestal houses dual front-firing, proprietary 12-inch long-throw aluminum cone subwoofers inside a completely sealed, heavily braced chamber. The sealed alignment targets an optimal system Q of ~0.707, producing remarkably fast, melodic, and articulate bass that drops to a physical 20Hz ($\pm$3dB).
-
Symmetrical D’Appolito LCR Monitor: The upper cabinet features a classic Mid-Tweeter-Mid (MTM) configuration with dual 8-inch proprietary aluminum cone mid-woofers flanking a large, high-output AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter. This layout controls vertical sound reflections off ceilings and floors while delivering a wide horizontal soundstage with pinpoint imaging.
-
Acoustically Inert, Heavyweight HDF Construction: Hand-assembled in the USA, each module is crafted from thick, premium High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) and physically coupled with heavy steel brace plates. Weighing a formidable 137 lbs per tower, these cabinets are incredibly inert to eliminate box resonances.
