Meet Our Team

Owner, Zeb Beal

Zeb Beal is the owner of Downeast Audio Video. He provides complete design, product sales and installation, service and exceptional support to his clients.

Zeb fell in love with music, electronics and entertainment at a very young age. He delivered newspapers to buy his first boom box at the age of eight, and in high school spent his spare time helping friends put sound systems in their vehicles. He loved gathering all the speakers and amplifiers he could find to put on dance parties for his friends, and played guitar and drums in several bands in his early years.

With his love of music and sound, he pursued greater knowledge and expertise as a professional. Zeb has always been a performer, enjoying work as a professional MC and DJ, and has done sound engineering for various bands. In 2004, Zeb directed his passion for residential and commercial technology integration to work in custom home theater design and installation. His jovial personality, and personal attention to every project, make him a favorite with his clients. He likes getting creative to find the right system solutions for every project.

Outside of his career, Zeb is a dedicated family man. His wife and four children are his pride and joy. They spend lots of time at family gatherings, BBQs, beach days and family trips to camp. His hobbies also include listening to music on his two-channel system, playing golf, jet skiing, snowmobiling and riding his ATV’s. He also enjoys various home construction projects with his friends.

Tanner Schaab

Tanner Schaab

Tanner took an interest in computers while in high school, where he took advanced classes. He then went on to study IT at Drexel University. Tanner later spent 15 years living and working down in the Florida Keys area, before coming back home to Maine in 2016. He started working at Downeast Audio, learning and perfecting custom audio-visual integration business. Tanner’s attention to detail, ability to find solutions, and his excellent rapport with customers makes him a natural for the business.

Tanner grew up in Portland, Maine. He attended Portland High School for two years before transferring and later graduating from Cheverus. He was an athlete, playing golf, hockey and baseball. He now lives in Topsham.  In his spare time he loves to golf and go to the driving range. He and his teenage son love fishing, golfing and gaming together.

Logan Kaiser

Logan has been working in the A/V integration industry since 2016. He uses his extensive knowledge of A/V technology to professionally design, install, and program our audio and visual systems. He also loves to teach others how to use their technology. He most enjoys helping people who may be intimidated by technology to become more comfortable with it, and use it to its full potential for entertainment and productivity.

Logan grew up in, and still lives in Brunswick, Maine. He graduated from Brunswick High School. In his free time Logan  enjoys camping, building computers, and caring for his two cats Wolverine and Laura.

Isaac Siegfried

Our automotive and marine sound systems installer, Isaac Siegfried, is a nationally recognized system designer and installer with 20 years’ experience in the industry. His enthusiasm for his work is contagious on our team, and it’s obvious that he truly loves what he does. He appreciates the challenge that installing systems in very tight spaces present, and he says he “always strives to make every installation better than the last one.” Wire management, the ability to integrate the wiring for new systems seamlessly and invisibly, is a favorite aspect of his work. This zest for learning and goal to make every installation perfect makes our auto and marine sound department the best around.

It’s important to Isaac that the next generation learns proper installation techniques, and this mean access to professionals and a place to ask questions. He is active in an online mentoring program designed to deliver these resources to new techs in the field.

Originally from Maine, he lives in Topsham with his wife and five children in their blended family. With a very busy household, his priority in his free time is spending time with the family, enjoying outdoor activities, and attending the sports games of the kids.

Shawn Sullivan

Shawn joined Downeast early in 2022, with expertise in programming, networking and home automation technology integration. He does a lot of our system designs for the Savant Smart Home technology we offer, and much of our internet setup and installations. His extensive experience in designing effective networking solutions for anything from large organizations and multi-unit buildings to residential and home office systems makes him a valuable addition to our team.

After completing a Professional Certified Network Administrator (PCNA) program last year, he set a goal to help people have the most reliable and valuable Internet they can possibly get at their location. He knows how powerful technology can be, and how much easier and enjoyable it can make people’s lives, and he loves the opportunity to do that every day in his work. He also enjoys the challenge of installing cutting edge fiberoptic networks that work effectively together and load quickly, all while being an “invisible” network of wiring and equipment.

Shawn and his wife, Stacey, recently moved to Maine in 2022 to be closer to their families. They keep busy with their blended family of five children, exploring the outdoors, hiking, and cooking. He likes to develop his knowledge and expertise by rebuilding and expanding his own home audio-visual systems.
